My Favorite Drugstore Makeup Products

We know all too well that makeup can get expensive. And as a broke college student, I know I should save my money for groceries and rent, rather than buying the new Tarte eye shadow pallet or Smashbox lipstick I really really want. But, it is possible to find quality products at drugstores, such as CVS and Walgreens, that look good and won’t break the bank. Here are some of my personal favorites:

Milani Baked Blush:

Milani Baked Blush $9.49

These blushes are the perfect amount of shimmer and pigmentation. The orange and gold shade (top), Bellissimo Bronze (06), is a personal favorite of mine. I love wearing this color on my cheeks once it gets into the warmer months. The more standard pink shade (bottom), Luminoso (05), is amazing for an all year round, everyday look.

L’Oréal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator:

L’Oréal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator $12.99

This highlighter is very good quality for its price. When I sweep my brush over the four separate color it make a perfect combo. It looks great on the top of my cheekbones and the tip of my nose. The shade pictured is Golden W102.

Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection:

Milani Everyday Eyes $8.99

My Earthly Elements (05) is pretty high on my list of favorite eyeshadow palettes, even compared to higher end ones I own. The colors are just so beautiful and have such a strong pigmentation. Perfect selection of shades to create both simple everyday looks, and darker, smokier looks.

Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara:

Maybelline. Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara $5.99

I have been using this mascara since middle school, and every time I stray from it, I always come back to it wondering why I stopped using it. It does wonders for my lashes. Not only is it great at lengthening and thickening my lashes, but the fine bristles separate them nicely and prevent clumping. Mine is in the shade Blackest Black and it is the waterproof formula, which comes in handy during midterms (jokes).

Maybelline Brow Define and Fill Duo

Maybelline Brow Define and Fill Duo $6.99

This product makes it quick and easy to fill in my brows. One end is the pencil, and the other is the powder. I use the shade Deep Brown, and I haven’t found any drugstore eyebrow pencils I like better. It also it a great dupe for the Anastasia brow pencil.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick:

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick $6.99 (top) Life’s a Beach (02)                    (bottom) Tea & Cookies (09)

I absolutely love these lipsticks! They are easy to apply and they dry matte. The colors are so vibrant and come in so many different shades. I like to use these on days when I am feeling a little more bold.
